. . . On the other hand, on a good day, a few steps backward from the mirror and I can almost believe the illusion works. Like with this guy I've done some photographs of, who happens to be as old as me. Hey, give an old man credit for trying, will ya? Don't laugh so hard - you young whippersnappers will be where we are soon enough, believe me.

Okay, here's some truly young faces to enjoy. Once again I have to say how very lucky you younger guys are. Images of men in love like the ones in this video simply did not exist at all when I was young. They were in fact, forbidden images. Considered shocking, reprehensible, pornographic - yeah - and people would have been locked up on hard time for making or distributing them. Seriously.

Imagine growing up yearning for the love of another man - and never, ever seeing it depicted. Not even spoken of. Not even whispered as the faintest possibility. When all there was to believe in was just the one lonely, crazy, hopeful ember in the depths of your own heart.

You all are very fortunate to be alive now, and I am glad I have lived to see this day.

So enjoy. And dream of love - the love that dares now not merely to speak, but to sing its name. Goodnight, guys. Sleep tight.
