Bush's Farewell Address

Of course, you can google up the whole thing at any number of news sites, but thought I'd excerpt the very best of it for Blue Truck readers here:

And so my fellow Americans, for the final time, good night.
Oh man, seems like we've been waiting forever to hear those words, doesn't it?

Time Capsule: On the off chance that somebody a hundred years from now will discover this blog in some archive, just for the historical record why don't we all contribute our favorite reason(s) why Bush is the Worst President Ever. Of course, schoolkids in the next century will have grown up hearing that all their lives, but they might wonder just why that was so. Let's make a record before history dims the stinking memory, what do you say?

Email your list to me at bluetruckredstate@gmail.com, and I'll compile and post them all.

Update: Here's Rachel Maddow on Bush's good-bye. "Still delusional after all these years." Which shows again why it's important to keep the historical record straight to counter all the spin Bush and his cadre will try to insert in it, to cover up all the crimes and misdemeanors of the last eight years.

I'll go ahead and post my reason why he was the worst president ever:

His political tactics, led by Karl Rove, created a climate in this country where you were either for something or against someone. He made it popular to paint anyone who didn't agree with him or his party as traitors who were going to sell out the country.

The reason why he was the worst president ever?

Where to start?

From our perspective: because he wasn't very bright and he still took our star-struck Prime Minister with him. Humiliating to have a poodle as a leading politician.

Doorman: Yes even from this side of the pond, your PM did seem rather well schooled to bark on command and so forth, nothwithstanding his being of the dreaded socialist persuasion. How very odd.
