And sadly, recently retired Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire, whose consecration in 2003 rocked and split the Anglican Communion, has announced that he and his huband, Mark Andrew, are divorcing. Knowing something about the culture in which Bp Robinson and Mark Andrews have lived it is not surprising that the stresses have taken their toll. With the appalling behavior of many, their lives have been made miserable.

I've thought for a long time that a priest's or preacher's job is a nearly impossible one, not only for him but for his family as well - of course the intense stress this particular couple has lived under would have been infinitely worse.
