You may want to look at some stats from the Pew Research Center on Americans' opinions about homesexuality and same-sex marriage. Be aware that the latest poll that Pew conducted on these issues was in 2023-2024, when two-thirds of Americans favored same-sex marriage; however, some people may have changed their minds since then.
It's also interesting to scroll to the bottom of that page and compare the very similar figures for attitudes about abortion, which also was legal nationawide until 2022. As I said in this blog ten years ago when the Obergefell decision came down, what the Supreme Court gives, it can also take away.

When Leon and I became a couple we never in our wildest dreams considered marriage as a possibility. As a matter of fact, there was a time when the idea was first being floated that I was adamantly against the concept, thinking it was too "hetero-conformist" and that it was the antithesis of "gay liberation". So, whatever happens, I know that Leon and I are in it for the long term (it's already been 37 years - only 12 married). I will fight the good fight for as long as I am able.
Yes, it was an impossible dream for many years. You all are blessed to have had such a long life together, and still going strong. I hope nothing arises to trouble you - but these are scary times. Hang in there.

Vous avez raison, c'est bien degoutant. Est aussi c'est vraiment etonnant la vitesse laquel ils ont tombe au pieds du Caesar, tremblant de peur - les grands universites, bastions de liberalisme; le soit-disant "presse libre", fier rempart de la democratie; et les grands coporations et puissnant millardaires - ils tombe comme de feuilles de l'automne au vent du nord, sans aucun resistance. Incroyable! Il n'y a jamais dans l'histoire des Etats Unis comme ca. Nauseeux!
