Thanks to my truckbuddy Frank for passing along this poignant news about Matthew Shepard's interment in the Washington National Cathedral. I don't know why I never heard of this before.
I follow Joe.My.God. news blog pretty closely. Mostly items are of interest to the LGBTQ community and liberals/progressives. While a lot of the comments are trivial or snarky many are informative and intelligent. A good number of readers are professionals or have expertise in various fields. It was one of the commenters who posted the info on Bishop Budde and Matthew Shepherd.
Oh yes, I've been reading JMG for longer than I've been writing the Blue Truck. I check it out at least once a day, usually. I try NOT to read the comments of all the vicious bitches, though - but sometimes I can't resist peeking at what the so-called "gay community" is thinking about some topic or other. A few of them, as you say, are intelligent and informative.
I don't agree with everything Joe himself says, but you have to hand him the prize for most indefatigable blogger ever. I don't know how he does it, day after day after day and year after. Never seems to take a vacation.
Comments are welcome, but please note: this is not a public forum but my personal blog, which nobody is forced to read. You don't like what I write, go find a blog you do like; there are millions of others to choose from. Or write your own.
Polite disagreement is one thing, but rudeness will be deleted without hesitation.
