We had dinner with dear friends last Sunday and the film The Holy and the Ivy came up in conversation (It's a wonderful film from 1951) and our finds had never heard the term - I said "What never heard the carol?" I had to subject them to my solo version...

I'm sure that was most entertaining. I never heard of the film, will have to look it up.
