Eva Cassidy was amazing... A young singer who died before achieving any kind of commercial success, but her voice had a quality that catches the listener and draws him in unlike few that I have ever heard. She's a perfect choice for this cool fall morning.
Yes, an amazing voice and a unique style, makes you feel as if you are hearing an old standard for the very first time. I just discovered her in the past year; so tragic that she died way too young.
Thank you, Russ, for introducing me to this beautiful voice. I'm busily copying everything I can find on YouTube, and will be searching for any albums I can find on cdbaby.com - incredible. Only too sad that there will be no more from this hugely talented woman.
Glad I could turn you on to her, go look up her version of "Over the Rainbow" too - you'll be amazed. If anyone deserved to win fame and fortune from her talent, it was Eva - a fantastic interpreter. But the deserving don't always get what they deserve.

Strangley enough, this song has been my anthem for the past month! :)
