Wow! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! What a find! I really enjoyed this, a lot of it reminded me of my father during his merchant marine days. He had a few photos of him and his best bud that are just like this. I think all these men shared an experience and bond that only they could understand. Were they gay? Perhaps some were, but I think those who weren't were simply true, devoted friends. It brought tears to my eyes to think how they're all gone now, and how some of the military men may have paid the ultimate price during war-time. I haven't finished watching the whole series, but I will definitely come back to see them all. I wish everyone would take the time to understand what this is all about, a moving tribute to men from an earlier time.
You're very welcome. We all owe the men of our fathers' generation a great debt of gratitude for all they went through to preserve peace, prosperity, and democracy. I'm sure they would all be horrified to see what's happening in the world today.
