My take was pretty much what Trae says that Vance was able to hide the stink of the BS he was dishing out; Walz had a bit of a hard time making his points clear. But no matter. I don't think this debate changed the needle one way or another.
I agree. The serpentine Vance was very slick, and probably earned himself a pat on the head from Hair Furor. Walz was a bit of a disappointment, rhetorically speaking - but he spoke up clearly and proudly for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. So that puts him up there with Superman in my book.
In contrast, everything that rolled off Vance's forked tongue was a lie, including a, and, and the.
