Wow, that was a beautiful rendition. I see that song differently now that I know the story behind it. I can appreciate the human story of a clergyman thankful to ride out a thunderstorm in shelter, and musing his faith, his own mortality, in his appreciation. Whatever my beliefs are... shared or not, I found the story behind the song a lovely meditation to good Ole Ernie's beautiful base voice. I liked the Brad paisley one too, we have all lost someone.
