Country Time: Summertime Blues

Since it's headed for 98 today in Texas - a bit cool for us - this song just seemed to fit the bill.  It's been done by a lot of artists and bands, but it's interesting to compare the original 1958 version by the song's composer, Eddie Cochran, with the one Alan Jackson did in 1994.  Enjoy.

Great Summer song, I think I prefer Eddie's version, is Alan's a teeny bit camp? ;)

Not camp, just country. Though there was probably some gay guy somewhere in the shooting/editing process, count on it. We're everywhere, even in Nashville.

I like both versions of the song, but I prefer the oldie, too.

Glad you like. They're both classic performances, in my book.
