Lovely images Russ, I prefer my religious music a little less contemporary, it seems to loose some sincerity with a slick production - sorry I'm a crouch today, just had a spat with my partner. Hope you had a good weekend.
I agree, slick productions generally come off as less than reverent, and I generally prefer a traditional approach. However, there is no good traditional setting of this hymn on YT that I could find - and I do appreciate a well-done piece of a cappella singing, which requires great training and discipline.
I know how a quarrel can color everything for a time, hope you and your sweetie have patched things up by now.
