As you say, a little goes a long way, but simple times, happy times. However, I do like a lot of the contemporary country music around these days. Have you listened to Mark Weigle? Gay country music with real emotion, sadly he no longer performs, catch him on Spotify and Youtube.
I'm sorry to hear that, I bought an album of his some years ago and felt he was still developing his style; but a very nice baritone and some nice songs.

Yes. Reminds me of Louisiana Hayride back in the day. I listened secretly, because my friends in the city didn't think country music was cool.
